HGB artist Hyerin Eom is one of the finalists for this year’s Young Art Prize, organised by the Krupa Art Foundation. She is studying in the ‘Expanded Cinema’ class taught by Prof. Clemens von Wedemeyer and is the winner of the 2025/26 Student Prize awarded by the Friends of the HGB and Sparkasse Leipzig.

Following an assessment of the numerous submissions, the jury has selected 32 projects to be presented as part of the KAF Young Art Prize finalists’ exhibition.

The KAF Young Prize is an international competition for emerging artists from across Europe. Following the success of the first edition, which received over 1,600 entries, the competition has been expanded and now encompasses a broader spectrum of artistic practices. For the 2026 edition, artists were invited to apply in three categories: painting, digital art, and sculpture and installation.
