The exhibition 'no matter what' focuses on the intensive handling of material and its inscribed traces, stories and effects.

Steel, aluminium, insulating materials and sheet metal are central elements of Valentina Plank and Len Bay's artistic exploration. The interplay between industrial production and the use of traditional craftsmanship reveals references to minimal art. But Plank and Bay go beyond this: their works are not limited to their external appearance alone. Through haptic and tactile properties, installations and sculptures become interactive containers that viewers can fill with their own experiences.

The exhibition also reflects the dialogue between the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig and Burg Giebichstein in Halle, with the a&o Kunsthalle serving as a platform to provide a space for this interdisciplinary exchange.
