A travelling exhibition from ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne), with a contribution developed in collaboration with the HGB Leipzig Type Design class, Atlas gives an overview of what type design is, what it can do visually, and how letterforms are used in everyday life.

We are surrounded by type every day, yet few people think about the designers who draw the letterforms. In a setting inspired by the frames letterpress printers used to dry their freshly printed sheets, the exhibition is conceived to be accessible to a wider audience, not only specialists, and showcases experimental letterforms, extensive type families and multiple scripts. Atlas then continues as a travelling exhibition, with presentations in Italy, Canada, the USA and Switzerland.
