At the beginning of the academic year, the exhibition traditionally brings together works from all disciplines by graduates of the Meisterschüler*innen program (postgraduate studies for artists)
who successfully passed their exams in the winter and summer semesters. The works are the result of the two-year postgraduate course at the HGB, which deepens and expands artistic-practical and artistic-scientific skills.
All the graduates' works will be presented parallel to the exhibition on the graduates' website (www.hgb-leipzig.de/tendencies).
The Meisterschüler*innen Award of the G2 Kunsthalle
will be presented to a graduate for the fourth time this year. The prize is endowed with 10,000 € and a free studio space for 12 months.
The 3-G rule and the obligation to wear a mask apply to visits to the exhibition. Visitors register when entering the academy building via the Corona warning app or analogue via a form (available on site or can be downloaded here).
