Jule Würfel deals with the topic of patriarchal experience of violence using the example of four female pop singers that she herself listened to as a teenager. The albums, videos and concerts were the soundtrack of her own development as a woman and evoke memories:

What has happened to me since?
What assaults have I been subjected to as a woman, especially in a party context?

In collaboration with Pegah Musawi (fashion design), Akasha Daley (Performance) and Benze C. Werner (performance), Jule Würfel confronts the specifically female pain of forced dependence and overpowering.

Würfel found an answer to the question of which means can be used to confront structural violence in her involvement with the feminist artist group Erfurt, who from 1984 to 1994 understood the individual liberation of women as a collective process. YOUR POWER is reminiscent of these East German feminists in both approach and goal. In which Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, Tina Turner and Rihanna are shown together in their trembling between self-assertion and self-loss, personal female traumas become a communal task.
