Due to the war in Ukraine, a solidarity flea market will take place on Sunday, 10.04.2022 from 10am-1pm at the HGB. Students and friends will offer clothes, handicrafts, prints, zines, decorations, books, ceramics and other treasures for sale. All proceeds will be donated 100% to organisations working for refugees across Europe and directly for refugee art and design students, artists and designers who are taking up (guest) studies at the HGB.
In addition to music, food and drinks, childcare will also be provided.
Come along and let's be in solidarity together!

Working materials for artistic work and portfolios for refugee art and design students who arrive in Leipzig and wish to study at the HGB.
MARSH ZHINOK (March For Women's Rights, Ukraine):
Marsh Zhinok is a feminist initiative that brings together activists, NGOs, and women to organize demonstrations. Currently MARSH ZHINOK is supporting people in Ukraine, and those who are fleeing because of the war. They need money for food, medicine, clothing and (temporary) accommodation, as well as psychological help.
KROVOSPAS:
KROVOSPAS are hemostatic Z-bandage materials developed by Ukrainian scientists. The production plant has already been destroyed by the Russian attack. However, dedicated scientists continue to produce the dressing material and distribute it free of charge as emergency aid in hospitals in Ukraine, as well as to volunteers, the press, territorial defense and the army.
No Border Kitchen (NBK):
No Border Kitchen started in 2015 as a self-organized, non-hierarchical group of cooking activists to support people fleeing along the Balkan route to Europe and provide them with hot meals. Currently, they support people in need, both locals and refugees, in Lesvos (Greece) with basic necessities and provide them with hot meals and food parcels.
Ukrainian LGBTQI+ Community:
In cooperation with Soli.Kino: screening of the film "Women*- What we are fighting for" by Ukrainian filmmakers Viktoria Guyvik and Alina Shevchenko.
In addition, there will be a booth "Support Ukrainian Artists" with photographs of Ukrainian artists.
