OSTEN is a festival for art and mutual interest. It explores and celebrates "the East" as a landscape of change for people, nature and coexistence. From 1 to 16 June 2024, the festival invites you for the second time to (re)discover the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen and "the East" with a diverse cultural program.
This year, the
photography and moving image class of Prof. Tina Bara and Sandra Schubert was invited as a cooperation partner of the HGB at the OSTEN Festival, which will take place in the Wolfen district this year.
Under the title: "Bezüge_Folgelandschaften", 15 participants will explore the past and present of the chemical industry location Bitterfeld-Wolfen, in particular the film industry in Wolfen, which produced films until 1990, first Agfa, then ORWO.
