www.halle14.org/The Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony acquires numerous new works of contemporary visual art each year. The spectrum of works acquired ranges from paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, objects and installations to performances, photographic, video and audio works. The goal of the purchases is to provide financial support for emerging artists at key points in their careers and to remain connected over the long term. For example, Stephanie Lüning's performance "Foam Island," purchased in 2020, was performed at the Cultural Foundation's 30th anniversary celebration in May of this year and caused quite a stir.
