The intention of Julia Lackner's artistic work is to create a visual translation of a book that serves as a stimulus for re-examination and adds an additional level of experience to the medium. She creates a new approach to experience the object itself, its typographic nature, and the interaction between users and the object in a different way.

Specifically, Julia Lackner interprets Meyer's Kleines Lexikon Musik - a work that has accompanied her for quite some time - on the basis of its haptic and design impressions. Four aspects of the book are translated into four graphic notations. For the exhibition „Encyclopedia in four Pieces" at the Libelle in Leipzig, Benjamin A. Kubaczek will interpret the graphic notations musically.
