New: (Un)Learning Digitalities. Program for Thinking & Practicing Digitalities

In the project "Professionalisation education on the use and application of digital media in artistic professions", new interdisciplinary teaching and working formats are to be designed, tested and implemented in a sustainable manner in the study programme at the HGB. The formats will be developed in the course of the project and thus react to current developments in content and technology and aspects in the context of application. The acquisition of media, artistic, critical and communicative skills in the field of digitalisation represents an indispensable building block for the professionalisation of HGB students in order to ensure comprehensive academic success and a successful transition to professional life in the art world and creative industries, especially for women. The programme creates opportunities for the reception and application of digital image cultures. It includes a theoretical part that deals with the use of digital media, a practical part that is dedicated to the active design and use of digital media, as well as extensive documentation. These parts are evaluated, supplemented and developed in continuous dialogue with each other. For the duration of the programme, an Office for Digital Teaching will be set up to support and ensure the coordination of content and its networked development through to the final documentation of the programme and the resulting development of sustainable teaching formats.

The Office for Digital Teaching consists of:
Eliza Goldox, artistic associate
Juness Beshir, research associate
Fabian Lehmann, artistic assistant

>>> The Office for Digital Teaching is looking for three student assistants (f/d/m) to work in the period from mid-January to the end of September 2025. Click here for the job advertisement.

The project is co-financed by the European Union and is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.
