We are shocked by the terror and war in Israel, in the Gaza Strip and in the neighbouring areas. The HGB Leipzig stands in solidarity with its partner university in the region, the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, its students, colleagues, artists and designers and joins the messages of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
This war is also being waged at the expense of the civilian population in the affected areas and is bringing suffering, destruction and displacement. Our thoughts are with all victims of war and violence as well as their relatives and friends.
