Performance as part of the artistic-discursive themed evening Futures East #2

For artist and author Anna Zett, the future of the East emerges in gatherings where the perception of present-moment interaction is more real than one’s own identity. In a format of group dialogue structured by simple rules and based on the interview format, she invites not only her guests but everyone present to allow their counterparts to speak their minds and to approach unfamiliar feelings with curiosity. As a child of the self-taught generation—who learned to feel in the GDR (opposition) but to think in Euro-American capitalism—Anna Zett is now a teacher herself. In the Salon, she brings together three performative impulses from 21st-century art students with a psychoanalyst who experienced the GDR, in order to facilitate transgenerational knowledge transfer through unconventional means.
