The one-week interdisciplinary Libken Summer Academy is an invitation to live, work and exhibit together beyond familiar environments and structures. It is about exchange, reflection and expansion of one's own artistic practice. The theme of this year's summer academy is sustainability/political ecology. What could a more sustainable art production, a more sustainable common life and action look like?

You will explore these and similar questions together, using different media and working methods. You will be accompanied by the lecturers @harryhachmeister working with clay / sculpture / photography and @ozlemaltin (mixed media). In addition to the practical programme, you will be cooked a decent meal, can swim in the lake on the doorstep, watch films at night and enjoy the campfire. At the end of the week on 7 September, the works will be presented to the public in a joint exhibition in the former waterworks and on the Libken site.
