The multi-part workshop REMOTEWORDS provides a deeper insight behind the scenes (making of) of the interdisciplinary long-term project at the intersection of art, literature, design, internet culture and navigation technologies. In cooperation with institutions from the field of art and culture, suitable messages are found that are permanently installed on the respective roof tops. The capital letters form semantic units with the respective location and surroundings. After a certain time, they will become visible by means of satellite photography and the view from space, and will be disseminated worldwide via virtual globes such as Google Earth or Bing Maps.

In the winter semester 2022/23 the appropriate words that are able to represent the identity of the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst over a longer period of time via the view from space will be fiound in a collaborative process. Conceptualization, decision-making processes as well as the realization in the summer semester 2023 are an essential part of the project.
