Dr. Tobias Wall, expert on art funding from private and public sources
What is the background to private and public art funding? Who are the sponsors, what are their declared goals, and which projects do they implement themselves? What money is awarded and what do these institutions look for when evaluating the project applications they receive? How do the procedures work, what opportunities are there in this area? Backgrounds, opportunities and avoiding mistakes will also be part of the discussion.
Tobias Wall is an art and cultural scientist and has worked for many years as a consultant and speaker in private and public art funding. After working for the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg for several years, he was head of the Karin Abt-Straubinger Foundation since 2007 - this foundation promotes and exhibition projects and the realization of individual artworks upon request.
Tobias Wall worked for the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, among other things in the field of digitality in museums. He led the forum "Digital Worlds" in the cultural policy process - "Cultural Policy for the Future" of the state of Baden-Württemberg and is currently a specialist for visual arts in the cultural office of the state capital Stuttgart.

(Cornelia Renz, Julia Brodauf) In this series, we talk to players who sometimes even seem to be opponents to us artists: Gallery owners, curators, museum directors, journalists, critics, but also political institutions.
