In 2022, the HGB Open Day will once again take place as a digital event on the HGB website. Teachers, students and staff will welcome prospective students and applicants in virtual rooms between 10 am and 5 pm. Throughout the day, our moderators will be available via live chat for information on the programme, the right contact persons and general questions.

The day begins with a welcome video by Rector Thomas Locher. Afterwards, lecturers will present the four diploma programmes Painting/ Printmaking, Photography, Book Design/ Graphic Design, Media Art.

The Office of Student Affairs is available by telephone between 10:00 - 12:00 and 13:30 - 16:00 for information on the application procedure and for general questions about the degree programme:

Between 1 and 2 p.m., the Academy for Transcultural Exchange (AtA) offers advice on the range of studies for people with a history of flight.

At the same time, students of the 1st year of book art/graphic design will show different approaches to portfolio design based on their application portfolios.

From 14:00-16:00, teachers from the Audiovisual Workshops will offer guided tours of the virtually accessible workshop spaces. - join!

In the live stream, HGB students will present their own projects, which can be experienced in the HGB media library, and talk about their everyday life as students.

Also from 2 p.m., lecturers will provide detailed information about the content and course of study of the diploma degree programmes and the master's programme Cultures of the Curatorial and will be happy to answer your individual questions.

From 3 p.m., prospective students can have their artistic works and portfolios commented on by teachers and master students in consultation talks (in Cisco Webex: follow the links to the portfolio consultations published in the programme or register by e-mail >>> if necessary, please inform yourself in advance about the technical function "Share screen" at https://essentials.webex.com/welcome/end-user/step-1.html).
