In "Zer - störung", Hameed Raisan uses damaged family photos to explore themes such as war, destruction and memory. The project reflects the artist's hometown, Mosul in Iraq, where the photographs that were once kept in his family archive were damaged by war.

His work illuminates the intersection of personal and collective trauma and offers a poignant meditation on loss and resilience in the face of destruction.

Raisan Hameed (*1991) is an Iraqi-German multimedia artist based in Leipzig. His works deal with personal and collective memory in the context of war and displacement.
