(Un)Learning Digitalities closing program

Grafikdesign: Marie Walser
1–3 July 2026

To mark the conclusion of the externally funded project ‘(Un)Learning Digitalities’, the HGB Leipzig is hosting three public events from 1 to 3 July 2026. Games, a publication, performances and discussions will take stock of a programme that views digital media not merely as tools, but as an artistic, social and political reality of the present.
How is artificial intelligence changing artistic processes? What power dynamics are embedded in digital platforms? How do artists and designers become visible, vulnerable or capable of taking action in the digital space? The project ‘(Un)Learning Digitalities. Programme for Digital Practice and Theory’ has been addressing these questions since October 2024 at the HGB Leipzig.
The project has given rise to digital experiments, artistic research, new teaching formats and spaces for exchange. To mark its conclusion, the HGB’s Office for Digital Teaching invites you to three public events at the HGB from 1 to 3 July 2026:

Wed 1 July, 12 noon–8 pm: Game Release HGlitchB | HGB, Room 2.34
Thu 2 July, 6.30–9 pm: Presentation of the publication (Un)Learning Digitalities. Reading the Temporary, Scripting the Imaginary | HGB Library
Fri 3 July 2026, 2 pm–10 pm: (Un)Learning to Gather | HGB, Ex-Café and courtyard
