The group exhibition Exposure marks the beginning of the curatorial project Fields of Focus, which investigates photographic practices in contemporary art in their respective social and political contexts. The concepts of exposure, reproduction, and transfer serve as a starting point, which, in addition to their technical significance within photography, open up certain currently relevant fields of discourse, such as disputes over visibility and vulnerability, the (contested) field of reproductive labor, or questions of knowledge production and transfer in visual culture.
