The cooperation between the Kunsthalle Sparkasse and HGB, which has been cultivated for years, will be continued with another exhibition. Thirteen positions by master class students and graduate students from the class of Professor Christoph Ruckhäberle provide insights into the state of artistic education in the fields of painting, graphics, drawing and objects. The title of the show was intentionally borrowed from a literary model, which goes back to a typeface by the French writer René Daumal. Although mountaineering as a parable is negotiated centrally in the 1920s, there is currently enough time to place this metaphor in relation to the artistic education of our time. To understand the climbing of the summit as a symbol of the student's ascent to the desired perfection is a timeless basic philosophical thought for the show. Every young artist knows the search for his/her individual artistic center, for the source and training of his/her own strength and effect, driven by the permanent engagement with the environment on a large and small scale, accompanied by setbacks and successes.
