The lecture presents the magazine "Wächterstraße 11", which was published between 1940 and 1944 by the Nazi Student Association of the Academy and appeared approximately quarterly with a total of 14 issues. Letters from current and former students who were serving in the Wehrmacht as well as letters and reports from teachers and students at the academy were printed under the recurring headings "... the front is now reaching out to its homeland..." and "... but the homeland is reaching out to the front...". In view of the patchy sources available in the archives at this time, the publications allow events from everyday academy life to be reconstructed, while the soldiers' letters in particular provide an insight into their ideological stance.
