The SNIPPET Live Feature Festival takes place every two years in Basel and focuses on artistic, documentary and autofictional audio performances. The festival offers an alternative to existing discursive formats that take place on podiums, in print or online media, for example, and uses sound as its central medium.

The term live feature refers to the radio feature genre. This genre was established in the 1950s from a fusion of elements of radio drama, documentary and reportage within the experimental programs of European radio stations. At the SNIPPET Festival, audio pieces are performed live in front of an audience - with voice, laptop and midi controllers, synthesizers and other instruments. Visitors to the festival actively and sensually experience the creation of the feature, which not only allows them to participate, but also gives them a direct insight into the production process.
