Since November 2025 performance artist Jule Flierl is new substitute professor for performative arts at the HGB. Jointly with media artist Anna Zett as artistic collaborator, they lead the performative arts class. In their teaching they focus on inter-vocality, the body as a medium, experiments with performance conventions and the framing of situations as a live process.
In her artistic practice, Jule Flierl interweaves choreography, dance and voice. Using choreographic scores and somatic singing methods, such as in her ‘dissociation method,’ she destabilises the relationship between seeing and hearing: what you see is not always what you hear, and what you hear is not always what you see.
