The Literarisches Quintett is a joint event organized by the Chair of Modern German and Comparative Literature and the University Library of TU Chemnitz.

Under the motto “Bringing Literature into Conversation—for Readers and Those Who Want to Become One!”, five literature enthusiasts discuss and debate five books in this special edition of the Literarisches Quintett, selected based on the major themes of the exhibition. We aim to talk about books “affectionately and a little bit mean, kindly and perhaps slightly mischievous, but always very clearly and unmistakably” (Reich-Ranicki). United by our love of literature, and perhaps occasionally divided in our opinions, we present the following works:
