On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the city partnership Peking-Berlin 8 photographers from China and Germany present their works.

Within the scope of the 7th german-chinese cultural festival Berlin, the members of the BFF (Bund freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e.V.) and the CPA (Chinese Photographers Association) present in the exhibition "Stories from China" their individual perspectives on life in China. Ten Works of each of the four Berlin based photographers Thomas Billhardt, Jörg Steck, Valentin Angerer und Klaus Mellenthin, as well as of four chinese photographers shed light on a small section of the life in the People's Republic.

While the works of Thomas Billard concentrate especially on the cultural specialities and focus on the life of children in China in the eighties, the other 70 photographies show a more recent view on the "Middle Kingdom"
