Siyan Zhang (b. 1994) is an installation artist based in Leipzig and Berlin, Germany. Her practice explores the relationship between materiality, memory, and personhood through symbolic and ephemeral materials such as soil, ash, dust, and found objects. Her works attempt to reach the fragile boundary of individuality, investigating how private memory and collective narratives continuously shape and challenge one another. Recently, her research has expanded toward the mechanisms of language itself, including its mediation, context, and structural power. Website: siyanzhang.com IG: @jznonchalant
