Alexander Lorenz (*1984) is a German artist born in Torgau and living and working in Leipzig. All of his works are centered on his dispute with the transition to adulthood. He often uses materials from his childhood such as paper, fabric and felt, which offer a tension between construction and fragility. The style of his low poly sculptures visualizes his understanding of fading memories. From a distance, these sculptures look familiar, but upon closer inspection the surface breaks apart into basic geometric objects.
