Yana Zschiedrich’s Hybris is an art-based research initiative showcasing a novel method of repurposing waste into art and building materials. Since 2019, Yana Zschiedrich has been exploring this concept by using mealworms as sculptural supports and converting expanded polystyrene into biodegradable materials that can replace sand in a new building material for sustainable architecture.
