Christian Holze (*1988) lives and works in Leipzig. The objects he creates combine traditional sculptural methods with the endless possibilities of virtual changes generated through 3D computer programs. His material preference is always in flux, ranging from gold paint-sprayed drop cloth fleece in one series, to candy colors infused into pristine while plaster in another. Using the virtual world as his source of inspiration and experimentation, his works continue to retain aspects of handicraft marked through the desire of playing with surfaces, and the conceptual notions of worth and deception.
