Ceremonial farewell to the Meisterschüler*innen, opening & awarding of the G2 Meisterschüler*innen Prize:
Fri. 27.09.2024, 7pm, Party 9 pm, Techne Sphere Leipzig

For the first time, the HGB is presenting the final works of the Meisterschüler*innen as a festival at various locations: in the HGB, in the Techne Sphere Leipzig and in other (exhibition) spaces in the city. Along a route that incorporates the urban space into the festival, the artistic projects of the graduates of the Meisterschüler*innen program will be presented to the public as loosely connected solo exhibitions.

Everyone is cordially invited to the opening with a party and DJs in the Techne Sphere on Friday evening (admission free)!

On display are the projects of the Meisterschüler*innen who successfully passed their exams in the winter and summer semesters 2023/24. They are the result of the two-year postgraduate course at the HGB, which deepens and expands artistic-practical and artistic-scientific skills.

This year, the G2 Kunsthalle Meisterschüler*innen Prize will be presented to a graduate for the eighth time. The prize is endowed with €10,000 and a free workspace for 12 months.
