Bundeskunsthalle closes as a precaution until 19 April 2020
Due to general measures to contain the COVID-19 virus, the Bundeskunsthalle will close from 14 March 2020 until prospectively 19 April 2020.
This decision was taken in agreement with the Health Department of the City of Bonn and in accordance with the requirements of the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The exhibition opening Fragments From Now on 19 March 2020 is thus cancelled.
A group exhibition by the fellows of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
The world is in motion: Old regulatory systems are changing and seem to be less reliable, achivements that were believed to be safe like the creation of an open-minded, peaceful world are threatened by populist tendencies and the global endangerment of the climate and human rights. That's why it is getting more important to take a position and this is exactly what fourteen young art fellows of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung are doing. With their photographies, video works and installations they thematise societal questions like diversity and migration and stand up for an artistic confrontation in which all arts see themselves as a part of a profound societal discourse. Curated by Beate Eckstein and Annelie Pohlen
Opening: 19:00 o' clock
