Calendar

In spring 2020 the Albertinum in Dresden will open an extensiv Barlach-retrospective which will be based on the stocks of the Ernst Barlach Haus. The project provides occasion for an East/West exchange: in return the Albertinum lends main works of it's collection of art of the GDR. The presentation includes paintings and sculptures of the postwar period, "socialist contemporary art" of the 1960s and 1970s as well as artworks of a younger generation of artists. A broad spectrum of styles and positions can be explored.
