| AMD K6 II | |
|
A man and his computer. They make love. The computer is an AMD K6 II, 233 Mhz, 4,6 Gb Harddisk and 32 MB Ram. As you may remember, there was a computer game back in the great C64 called >Olympic Games<. One of its levels was a ski-race, where you had to move your player by pushing the joystick to and fro as quickly as possible. Imagine what you see on the screen before you whilst moving the joystick. The slower you are, the slower the video will be. AMD K6 II is based on various ideas. At an immediate level is seems somewhat of a funny thing, but later you may experience some deeper issues. It may make you consider the unique relationships of a lot of males with their computer, as if it replaces a human partner. It also concerns the general relationship between humankind and technology, making aware of the fact that technology will become smarter and the rate of its development will irrefutably increase, whilst the interfaces of mouse and keybord will become proportionately minute. |
