Every museum, company, festival or institution needs a visual identity that makes them recogniseable and distinguishes them from others. This semester we are going to investigate the boundaries of when something is an identity and when it is not, what is needed to make it an identity, what are the rules of an identity and how do you create an identity?
We will enter this process by analyzing an existing local or regional institution. We will also investigate how your own interest in graphic design can become part of this identity.
