The Sound Lab Course “Sound Basics” aims to convey an practice based overview into the inner workings of sound recording, sound editing and sound mixing. Alongside these 8, mostly practice based sessions, a select amount of technical theory as well as art theory and exemplary artist works will be presented. The course is aimed at all students and levels, although, students who are seriously advanced in the field of sound production aren’t necessarily recommended to participate, nevertheless happily invited to do so. Next to its main focus - to learn and practice basic means of audio production - the course wants to inspire and convey a well-informed understanding of what we perceive as sound, its growing relevance in the academic and public perception in daily life and therefor its recent surge in the arts. The students are encouraged to follow up on artists strategies and theoretical concepts in and around sound that will be briefly introduced alongside the feature topic within each session.
(this course is the exact repetition of the previous course and aimed at a different group)
