Jakob Limmer’s practice is based on his belief that a person’s identity is shaped by the balance/imbalance of power in their social sphere. He conducts experiments on material and contextual levels, both provoking viewers to reflect on their own relation to their social sphere and (re-)introducing balance/imbalance of power to artistic practice.

His installations and objects combine sculptural handicraft with media techniques, resulting in works that may be touched, sounding, swinging or moving.
