yanazschiedrich instagram Yana Zschiedrich, born 1987 in Ludwigshafen / Rhein, lives and works in Leipzig. Her works are mostly created by going through subtraction processes, using different digital and analog media. By means of these media, she creates installations that deal with the relationship between architecture, society and nature. She thereby investigates how architecture is shaped by political interests and possible effects on society, the human psyche and the ecosystem.Yana is particularly interested in the psychology of places and how they can be made visible and tangible. For that, she focuses on materials such as concrete, steel, glass, styrodur, etc., which establish strong references to architecture and at the same time refer to standardized production processes in architecture.
