“Everyone is an artist” – Joseph Beuys
For Beuys the very essence of what it means to be human is a deep need and ability to create and be creative. He believed it was possible to transform society through the creativity of every individual.
In February 2018 eight Bangladeshi women, working in Dhaka’s garment and textile industry, participated in a four-week photography workshop. They learned photographic skills, and documented their daily lives following a collective process of sharing, discussing and reflecting on their images. It is a medium which allows the viewer to perceive the world more holistically. You are invited to ‘flip’ the images to continue this dialogue.
